Mountain Humane (in Hailey, Idaho) is on a mission to enrich the quality of life in our community by connecting animals and people. We do this through innovative programs that inspire and have impact beyond southern Idaho. The first “no-kill” shelter in the state of Idaho (in 1999), annually we help more than 2,500 animals and touch the lives of more than 5,000 people through our programs. The Marketing Coordinator position reports to the Marketing Manager and assists in spreading the message of the mission both creatively and effectively. The Marketing Coordinator must be organized and detail oriented in order to ensure that assigned projects are completed in a by the deadline. As part of the Marketing Department, the goal of this position is to create materials that promote the programs and mission of the organization, as well as share Shelter happenings and successes in a way that engages donors and the community. As an integral part of the development team, this position also provides support before and during fundraising and donor-related events and cocktail parties.

Office Location: Hailey, Idaho
Prefer a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or comparable marketing experience in an office environment, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Prefer experience with the Adobe Creative Suites specifically with design and photo editing.
Prefer social media experience developing and managing daily content over various platforms.
Prefer photography/video experience specifically with animals.
Have a demonstrated commitment to animals and the community, and an understanding of non-profit organizations.
Strong administrative and computer skills, be highly organized, motivated and remain flexible under pressure.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to write about the organization persuasively with a minimum of spelling or grammar errors.
Ability to manage diverse duties, set realistic deadlines, and independently manage task timelines.
Must be willing to work outside of regular hours for events and other marketing opportunities.
Must work well with persons of varied sexual preference, racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently-abled.
Should exhibit a positive attitude, common sense, flexibility, and teamwork with ability to exercise independent judgment.

HOURS, SALARY & BENEFITS:
Hours: Full-time position, 40 hours per week, flexible schedule with some nights & weekend days necessary for programs. Final schedule to be determined with Supervisor based on organizational needs.
Salary: $16 - $20/hr depending on experience, proficiency/efficiency in job tasks, and ability to work cooperatively while fostering the mission of the organization
